Executive Chef Denise Miller is an accomplished and published poet and writer, a professor of English at Kalamazoo Valley Community College, co-founder of Fire Historical and Cultural Arts Collaborative. As passionate about great food and cooking as she is about social justice, Miller has worked extensively to include this philosophy in the work she does as executive chef of fuel.
Miller has also served as the Public Arts Director at Fire for the last five years and in that capacity started, directed, and served as co-chef of bites. She loves preparing vegetarian, vegan, and raw foods with a strong ethnic influence. In her role at Fire she also has served as development director and as such brings to fuel five years of extensive and creative fund raising experience.
